Carson Tahoe Expressions Memory Care, a new Prestige memory care center opening soon in Carson City, Nev., invites the community to a free informational seminar designed to share evidence based, holistic approaches to avoiding memory loss on Friday, Dec. 7, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center.

CARSON CITY — Get fit for your Winter Sports and Activities. Well Being (Massage and Functional Fitness) hosts its second Winter Sport and Activity Conditioning Program this year. All winter sport and activity enthusiasts in the area are invited to participate.

The three week program began Monday, Nov. 26, 2018. Training days and times include the following:

— Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday mornings at 9:00 a.m.
— Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 5:30 p.m.

Among the events and activities today include continued voting to bring the Levitt AMP concert back to Carson City this summer, a Silver and Blue Nevada rivalry blood drive, a volunteer meeting for Toys for Tots; a showing of "Casino Boss" that was filmed this summer at the Carson Nugget starring SNL Alum Jose Piscopo, a visit by Marilyn Monroe, Clark Gable and Montgomery Clift in Dayton, art showings and more.

Polls in Nevada open at 7 a.m. and close at 7 p.m. Meanwhile, enjoy another day of sunny skies with a hike, brisk walk or bike ride around town. There's both a morning and evening hike offered through Muscle Powered or you can simply walk through downtown Carson City and alongside the capitol building.
