Festival of Lights, Project Empty Bowls, Santa train and more: Carson City region readies for festive weekend

Events include the Silver and Snowflake Festival of Lights, the 24th annual Parade of Lights in Gardnerville, the annual Project Empty Bowls dinner held at the Carson Mall, a Holiday Crawl in downtown Carson City and much more! Santa Claus is coming to Benson's Feed in Carson City this Saturday

Fill out your 'Letters to Santa' to be featured during Carson Now's 2019 Holiday Celebration

Download your Letters to Santa form from Carson Now, and you can send it off to the big man at the magical North Pole mailbox, which will be available for letters during the Homestead Holidays celebration Dec. 13-15, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., at Silver Saddle Ranch in Carson City.

Senator Square: Comprehensive Life Skills students make fundraising candles

These individuals have a severe and profound physical and neurological disability, cannot care for themselves, need full-time assistance, and are some of the kindest human beings in the world, many of whom are students in the Carson City School District and at CHS. Each year, students in the CHS Comprehensive Life Skills program make crafts to sell at the annual CHS Craft Fair and give as gifts.

First Annual Indigenous Peoples' Heritage Day scheduled at Carson City Children's Museum

As part of the event and celebration, Carson High School ceramics students from Ms. Alisa Kuniya’s class and third graders from Bordewich Bray Elementary School will exhibit Dia De Los Muertos masks and alters.
