Boys & Girls Club offers back to school activities, learning programs for Carson City area kids

The Carson City location at 1870 Russell Way is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. with dozens of hands-on programs. Spots inside the building are limited to 135 kids each day, but countless activities will be held throughout the year.

The Class of 2020-2021, while practicing social distancing and wearing the latest fashion in face masks, gathered together at 6:00 a.m. Sept. 4 on the bleachers of the CHS football field to watch their sun rise.

From the spectacular eagle sculptures at either end of the freeway to each of the metal sculptures along the rest of the freeway and on/off-ramps to the landscaping, multi-use path and the patterning on the walls, I remember a group of Master Gardeners from the University of Nevada Cooperative Extension who created what we see today.

Underage alcohol ID check shows 11 Carson City businesses pass, 7 fail in recent operation

On August 25, 2020 the Carson City Sheriff's Office School Resource Officers, in conjunction with Partnership Carson City, conducted an alcohol compliance check.
