Gov. Sisolak proclaims October Arts and Humanities Month in Nevada

Arts and humanities strengthen the Nevada economy by generating $8.7 billion in total economic activity annually and by supporting more than 40,900 Nevada workers, according to data from the Nevada Arts Council, a state agency that works to make the arts accessible to all Nevadans. Pandemic may bring less Halloween participants, but those Nevadans who spend likely to go big

This year, Nevada consumers are projected to spend $128.7 million on scary decorations, elaborate costumes and sugary sweets to celebrate Halloween, according to estimates by the Retail Association of Nevada.

WNC receives EPA grant to help implement pollution prevention among Nevada businesses

Also at the event, the museum will announce plans for this year’s Dia de Los Muertos celebration.

Historic coin press to run July 4 in Carson City

This will be the first time the museum has operated Coin Press No. 1 since it closed temporarily in March due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
