Activities lined include the Winter Reading Challenge at the Carson City Library, organizers of the Pete Buttigieg presidential campaign will give a presentation, art activities, plus a free yoga class at the Community Center and more. Enjoy in the games, festivities, activities at home and outdoors. Events are at a minimum, for obvious reasons, but the two big ones are traditions for us in the capital city. The Carson City Turkey Trot at the Governor's Mansion and the free Carson Nugget Thanksgiving community dinner. Enjoy your day and any slight break in the weather. More winter storms are on the way.

Carson City community to bring sustainable practices to Nevada Day

A Nevada Day green team was assembled to find ways to reduce waste at the event and they are seeking volunteers for the Nevada Day parade and festivities on Oct. 26.
Carson High School to host community-focused Back-to-School Night

There's the kickoff of two main events, the Nevada State Fair at Mills Park and the Spring Street Vibrations at Battle Born Harley-Davidson. There's also a morning hike, art showings, an end of school year celebration with live music at Living the Good Life, and the Thursday night Cruise that begins at Vino's Pizza. Read on for more.
