A 58-year-old Carson City man was arrested for suspicion of misdemeanor hit and run and having no current proof of insurance after an incident Tuesday morning in which a juvenile was hit by a vehicle and left the scene.

A 31-year-old Carson City man was arrested early Sunday at a North Carson Street bar for misdemeanor suspicion of battery, obstructing and resisting arrest, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.

Two were arrested Wednesday morning following a Nevada Highway Patrol stop in which the suspect driver was in a stolen SUV going more than 100 mph before running out of gas and then attempting to steal another vehicle, NHP officials said.

I hope you’ve got your Halloween costume ready. A week of various Halloween activities, trick-or-treats, and festivities for the kids begins tomorrow with the first ever Boo-nanza: a family-friendly collaboration between the Community Center, Carson City Library, and Aquatic Center. Carson City Fire Department, sheriff's deputies and Nevada Highway Patrol have responded Wednesday morning to a semi truck on fire in the northbound lane at I-580 near Lakeview Hill, according to dispatch.
