Carson City area gaming revenue down less than 1 percent in November
Casinos in Carson City, Gardnerville, Minden and other areas of Douglas County except for Stateline saw a decrease for the month of 0.81 percent, bringing in $7,956,553 for a total “gaming win.”
Statewide, Nevada’s nonrestricted gaming licensees reported a total “gaming win” of $876,278,690 for the month. This amounts to a 0.04 percent increase compared to November 2013. For the fiscal year, July 1, 2014 through November 30, 2014, gaming win has decreased 2.67 percent.
Elsewhere, casinos at Lake Tahoe's south shore in Stateline saw a significant gaming decrease for the month, down 30.36 percent over November 2013. However some of the loss can be attributed to a change in casino venues, with the former Horizon having closed in April. Replacing it, Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Lake Tahoe is planning a January 2015 opening.
Meanwhile, casinos on the north shore of Lake Tahoe saw big gains for November, with a 22.14 percent increase over the same time in 2013, according to gaming control board.
