The largest of the fires is the Mountain View Fire near the town of Walker in Mono County. It has grown to 5,000 acres in under three hours, having started just after 12:00 p.m. US395 is closed through the area. Mandatory evacuations are underway.
Fire crews are also working the Lassen County community of Doyle near Highway 395 where a wildfire has burned structures. The fire has burned onto BLM-managed public lands east of Doyle. There are mandatory evacuations in progress for scattered residences in the areas of Turtle Mountain, Fish Springs and Flannigan areas of Lassen County. As of 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, an estimated 500 acres has burned since starting around noon.
Multiple fire engines and brush units are responding. This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
