24 businesses checked, two cited for selling alcohol to minor in Carson City compliance check
A Carson City alcohol compliance check on Friday conducted among 24 local businesses that sell alcohol resulted in 22 merchants that refused to sell alcohol to a 16-year-old female used in the operation and two businesses that failed the check.
The following is the list of businesses that passed the compliance check:

Eagle Gas at 1360 S. Carson St.
Carson Central Gas Market at 1017 N. Carson St.
Chevron at 1102 N. Carson St.
JM Market at 1321 N. Carson St.
Frontier Motel Market at 1718 N. Carson St.
R & K Market at 500 Hot Springs
Quick Stop at 3006 N. Roop St.
AM/PM at 4340 N. Carson St.
7/11 at 3701 N. Carson St.
Bens Liquor at 3777 N. Carson St.
Golden Gate Petroleum at 2651 Hwy 50 E.
AM/PM at 2707 Hwy 50 E.
Country Store at 3387 Hwy 50 E.
7/11 at 3838 Hwy 50 E.
Maverick at 3922 Hwy 50 E.
Eagle Valley Market 933 Woodside Dr.
JM Liquor 1501 E. 5th St.
Cowboy Liquor 444 E. William St.
One Stop Market at 3150 E. Nye Lane
Two businesses failed the compliance check. Citations were issued to the business employees selling the alcohol and they will be ordered to attend mandatory alcohol server training. The following businesses failed the compliance check:

Maverick at 1451 Research Way.
The Carson City Sheriff’s Office goal is to have 100 percent compliance and have no one sell alcohol to minors.
