Take home a pet at no cost Sept. 27-28 as part of Maddie’s Pet Adoption Days
Looking for the love of your life? Hundreds of dogs and cats are waiting for you at animal shelters and rescue groups in Nevada, where pet adoptions will be free this Friday and Saturday, Sept. 27-28 during Maddie's Pet Adoption Days. All adoption fees are waived for pets going to loving new homes thanks to a grant from Dave and Cheryl Duffield Foundation.
“This is the 4th time we’ve held this statewide, semi-annual, free pet adoption event. The previous events were hugely successful, placing over 4,200 pets with new families,” said Kimberly Wade, Campaign Manager of Maddie's Pet Project in Nevada. “Every pet is spayed or neutered and vaccinated, and standard adoption policies still apply.
Groups are able to waive the fees because we are essentially sponsoring these pets, awarding $200 for every dog or cat adopted to the group they came from.”
