Carson City deputies issue 38 citations in saturation patrol; next one is during Street Vibrations
Carson City sheriff's deputies issued 38 citations on a Friday as part of a saturation patrol in Carson City that focused on speeding drivers, said Sgt. Scott McDaniel.
The patrols were in areas where crashes have occurred in the past, specifically Fairview Drive from Highway 50 east to South Edmonds Drive and North Carson Street from Lakeview Hill to Winnie Lane. The focus of this event was to reduce the possibility of car crashes by speeding drivers, said McDaniel.
Meanwhile there will be another saturation patrol. This one will be on Saturday, Sept. 27. The focus of this patrol will be speeding and careless drivers which often times leads to car and motorcycle crashes.
As this event will be taking place during Street Vibrations, traffic is expected to be heavy and the possibility of crashes is increased by drivers and riders who do not obey the posted speed limits and operate their vehicles in a careless manner.
