Personal Best: Carson City athletes turn out for Kiwanis Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Day
Carson City residents turned out in all ages, shapes, fitness and strength spectrums Saturday for the fifth annual Carson City Kiwanis Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Day.
The annual single day physical fitness endurance event, which featured a golf tournament at Silver Oak Golf Course, a 5K and 10K running event and a bench press competition, was founded by retired Carson City judge Robey Willis.
In the first photo, participants run in the 5K and 10K runs as part of the 5th annual Carson City Kiwanis Pancreatic Caner Awareness Day at Silver Oak Golf Course on Saturday, Sept. 15, 2018. The event, which also includes a weight lifting competition and a golf tournament, helps raise awareness of pancreatic cancer.
