Carson City area, Curry Street road report for week of Sept. 10-16
Here is the Carson City area road report for the week of Sept. 10-16, 2018. Work continues on the Downtown Curry Streetscape Project. This week construction workers will:
— Place curb, gutter and sidewalk from Musser to Telegraph on Curry Street
— Perform construction of the seat walls at Curry and Proctor.
— Place sidewalks on Musser between Curry and N. Carson, with intermittent lane closures.
— Install fire services on Curry from Proctor to Spear.
— Construct seat walls at the intersection of Curry and Telegraph, which will be closed intermittently during the work.
— Installing irrigation on Curry from Musser to Spear.
— Do possible demolition of curb, gutter and sidewalk at Spear to Robinson.
— Be placing curb, gutter and sidewalk between Proctor and Spear.
There will be intermittent street closures during these activities, detours will be signed. Parking will be limited in work areas. For specific details regarding traffic impacts as a result of the project, see www.carsonproud.com for more information.
Road closures expected at the following locations due to road and utility work.
— Snyder Avenue will be closed between Bigelow Drive and Center Drive, Sunday through Monday. All hours.
— Clear Creek Avenue will be closed between Center Drive and Snyder Avenue, Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
— Reeves Street will be closed between Edmonds Drive and Brown Street, Sunday and Monday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
— Gordon Street will be closed between Edmonds Drive and Reeves Street, Wednesday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Lane restrictions are expected at the following locations due to road and utility work.
— Ormsby Boulevard will be reduced to one lane between Dartmouth Drive and College Parkway, Monday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
— Medical Parkway will have reduced lanes between Presti Lane and Silver Oak Drive, Wednesday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
— Long Street will have reduced lanes between Mountain Street and Ormsby Boulevard, Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
