Carson City gaming revenue down slightly in July, Lake Tahoe soars
Casinos in Carson City and Carson Valley took in a gaming “win” of $8,823,541 for July. In July 2015, the casinos took in $8.9 million.
It was Stateline at the south shore of Lake Tahoe that took in the most gaming related dollars in the Silver State, seeing a 20 percent increase over July 2015 figures. A significant chunk of the $27,985,039 collected in gaming revenue is likely because of the annual American Century Championship celebrity golf tournament held July 19-24 at Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course and televised on NBC sports.
