Carson City area weather: Warming trend through Labor Day holiday weekend
Sunny skies and a a warming trend are in the mix for the Carson City region through the Labor Day holiday weekend, according to the National Weather Service.
From Friday through Labor Day weekend, temperatures will slowly warm up with highs in some areas of western Nevada pushing into the lower to mid 90s in the lower elevations by Monday, and lower 80s at Lake Tahoe and Sierra, with generally light winds.
Daytime highs for Carson City, Carson Valley and Dayton areas will be in the mid-80s through Saturday, the upper 80s Sunday and 90 on Labor Day, according to the weather service.
After that, a trough by mid to late week looks as though it may set up along the coast that would cool temperatures down in western Nevada by several degrees, forecasters say.
