Applications sought for seat on Carson City Redevelopment Authority Citizens Committee
Due to the resignation of a member in the citizen-at-large category, there is one position now open on the Carson City Redevelopment Authority Citizens Committee.
The Carson City Board of Supervisors is seeking applications from persons interested in serving on the Redevelopment Authority Citizens Committee. There is one (1) open position: “Citizen-at-Large” filling a partial term that will expire January 1, 2020.
The Committee’s primary purpose is to make recommendations to the Redevelopment Authority on Redevelopment Area Plans, incentive programs, special event funding, and other matters pertaining to the Redevelopment District. Applicants should be aware that a minimum commitment of up to ten hours a month is expected. All members will serve without compensation.
Applicants must be Carson City registered voters. Let it be known that all applications submitted to this office will be considered public information.
Applications will be accepted until this position is filled. Interviews for the volunteer position will be scheduled for the first available Board of Supervisors meeting upon receipt of qualified applications. The Board of Supervisors regularly meets on the first and third Thursday of the month.
