Three seats open on Carson City Historic Resources Commission
The Carson City Board of Supervisors is seeking applications from persons interested in serving on the Historic Resources Commission. There are three positions available, each for a term that expires in February, 2023.
An applicant must qualify in any of the following categories for one appointment to be made by the Board of Supervisors in accordance with CCMC 18.06.025:
— 2 positions for Resident/Property Owner
— 1 position for Historic Preservation Professional
The Historic Resources Commission reviews and makes decisions regarding projects in the Carson City Historic District and/or recommendations to the Regional Planning Commission and, or Board of Supervisors regarding matters relating to Carson City historic resources.
The Board of Supervisors will interview and appoint the qualified persons to the Commission. Applicants must be Carson City residents and a professional in one of the categories listed above to qualify. All members will serve without compensation. Applications will be accepted until August 8, 2019. Interviews for these volunteer positions are tentatively planned to be held at the regularly scheduled Board of Supervisors meeting on Thursday, August 15, 2019.
