Carson City Parks, Recreation and Open Space announces 'Junior Giants at Home' for the Spring Season
Junior Giants at Home is a free virtual season that brings the fun of the field to your home, according to Carson City Parks and Rec.
This virtual program provides live, age-specific practices featuring videos made just for Junior Giants by the Giants Manager Gabe Kapler and his coaching staff.
According to Parks and Rec, the 25-35 minute long team-style sessions will focus on physical activity and nutrition, baseball and softball skills and drills, reading, and bullying prevention.
The Junior Giants Four Bases of Character Development are Leadership, Teamwork, Confidence, and Integrity.
The Junior Giants at Home will take pace the week of May 11 through the week of June 1. There will be two age-specific live sessions per week led by Junior Giants AmeriCorps Ambassadors. The location is easy: it’s right at your home!
All youths ages 5 through 18 are welcome.
"The program will start up on Monday with a rolling enrollment and we will be in contact with each family to build a schedule with Zoom meetings each week," said Junior Giants Ambassador Jade Hickman. "The program will be held on Zoom with the links posted privately to the digital dugout space. The links will also be emailed to each family."
