Carson City emergency crews called to crashes on U.S. 50 Spooner, South Carson and Fairview
UPDATE: The Nevada Highway Patrol, Carson City and Douglas County emergency crews were called to a vehicle crash Thursday afternoon on Highway 50 West, 3 miles up from the Spooner Junction. The crash involves an SUV with airbag deployment and is in the westbound lane. It was reported at 2:57 p.m. Motorists can expect delays. Injuries are unknown at this time.

Carson City Fire Department and sheriff's deputies were called Thursday afternoon to a vehicle crash in the area of South Carson and Fairview streets.
The crash was reported at 2:27 p.m. and involves two vehicles in a rear-end collision. One person was injured and will be taken by ground ambulance to the hospital, according to a Carson City Fire Department battalion chief on scene.
One of the vehicles involved in the crash struck a power box. No outages are reported at this time. NV Energy has been called to the scene.
Thursday's crash at South Carson and Fairview is the third in three days on Carson City roadways. On Wednesday, emergency crews were called to a vehicle that flipped on its side on Highway 50 East near Airport Road. A Care Flight air ambulance transported 1 person to the hospital. A second person was injured and taken by ground ambulance. Their conditions are unknown at this time.
And on Tuesday, emergency crews responded to a rollover in the northbound lane of I-580 off-ramp at the Fairview exit. One person was flown by Care Flight and the other person was taken to the hospital via ground ambulance. Their conditions have not been released.
