76-year-old Carson City woman arrested for repeated violation of stalking order

A 76-year-old Carson City woman was arrested for felony violation of a stalking order Thursday afternoon.
According to the report, Helen Donner Kelly was arrested after a call came in from the protected party stating that Kelly was parked out front of the party’s house. It was then reported that Kelly was standing in the driveway.
On Feb. 4, the party had obtained a stalking order through the Carson City Justice Court against the woman, which is in effect until 2021.
Upon arrival, deputies saw Kelly driving away from the residence. They stopped and spoke with her, and she admitted to knowing about the order, but claimed that the case was dismissed by the court.
Deputies learned that on March 16, Kelly had violated the order by going to the party’s residence, but deputies were unable to locate her.
She was taken into custody without issue.
Bail: $10,000
— A 25-year-old Carson City man was arrested for domestic battery, violation of bail conditions, and parole violation after allegedly attacking a woman and threatening to kill her.
According to the report, there was a 911 hang up call and a woman was screaming on the phone, stating the man was chasing her and she was running down College Parkway.
Upon contact with the victim, deputies learned that the man was still inside the house and she gave them permission to go inside. They called out of him to exit, which he eventually did.
The woman said she had laid down on the bed when the man came into the room and told her he was going to “f****** kill you b****.” He then put his hand over her mouth and repeatedly stated he was going to kill her, she said. She tried to tell him she couldn’t breathe, and he told her “breathe through your f****** nose b****.”
She said she was extremely terrified and was trying to call 911 without him seeing her phone. He then punched her on the right side of her head, and then put his elbow and forearm on the left side of her face and pushed down on her jaw with all his weight. She said he then grabbed her throat and choked her, and she stated she thought he was going to kill her.
However, deputies could see no markings on her body. She said she had bit his finger when he was trying to cover her mouth. Deputies did not find any bite marks on his body; however, they did find dried blood on his hands, which was swabbed and sent for testing.
Deputies listened to the 911 call and could hear a woman’s voice attempting to say something. The voice sounded as though it was being muffled or the individual was having a difficult time speaking, the report stated. There was a “lot of commotion going on during the call which sounded like a physical altercation of some kind,” said deputies.
At one point during the recording deputies were able to hear a terrified female voice cry out, “I can’t breathe,” according to the report.
The man was taken into custody without incident.
No bail on parole and probation hold.
