A message from Carson City Mayor Bob Crowell on COVID-19
In response to Governor Sisolak’s Declaration of Emergency Directive 003, Carson City officials announced today they plan to work closely with businesses and residents in ensuring compliance with the Governor’s directive.
“We all share a civic responsibility to do everything we can to avoid the spread of this virus. That includes following the Governor’s emergency orders,” said Carson City Mayor Bob Crowell. “This disease knows no geographical or political boundaries, so we need to conduct ourselves like we’re all in this together, because we are.”
Sheriff Ken Furlong and Fire Chief Sean Slamon said they believe that most of the City’s businesses are already in compliance and expected their roles to be “educational” with respect to the Governor’s order.
We know that this is a difficult time for all of our citizens, but we urge our businesses to comply with the Governor’s directive. The City will continue to work through what, if anything, it means for local law enforcement. Stay strong Carson City! - Mayor Bob Crowell
