Carson City’s Jump Around JAC transit increases safety measures, continues to operate
Carson City’s Jump Around Carson (JAC) transit continues to operate our transit services for people who rely on public transit to access employment and essential resources.
The health and safety of our employees, transit riders, and their families is our first priority. While COVID-19 (novel coronavirus) is a serious public health threat, the immediate risk to the general public in Carson City, Douglas, Lyon, and Storey counties is considerably low.
To help prevent the spread of coronavirus, JAC has increased the frequency of disinfection and sanitization efforts in our buses and at our administrative facilities with an emphasis on high-touch areas.
Individuals who are sick or with underlying medical conditions are encouraged to stay home and contact medical professionals for directions to stay safe and receive medical care.
JAC will continue to monitor and implement safety protocols and recommendations from Carson City Health and Human Services, the CDC, and local and state leaders to ensure the continued safety and well-being of our employees, our customers, and the general public.
Please note, information and services are rapidly changing. For the latest information about the JAC services visit www.RideJAC.org for current JAC routes and schedules.
For questions about COVID-19, call the Carson City Health and Human Services hotline at 775-283-4789, or visit https://gethealthycarsoncity.org/novel-coronavirus-2019/.
