Two positions open on Carson City redevelopment citizens committee
The Carson City Board of Supervisors is seeking applications from persons interested in serving on the Redevelopment Authority Citizens Committee.
There are two open positions: One Business or Property Owner Redevelopment Area 1 and one partial term for the Citizen-at-Large position.
— Citizen-at-Large is a partial term that will expire January 2021
— Business/Property Owner Redevelopment Area 1 is for term that will expire January 2023.
The Committee’s primary purpose is to make recommendations to the Redevelopment Authority on Redevelopment Area Plans, incentive programs, special event funding, and other matters pertaining to the Redevelopment District. Applicants should be aware that a minimum commitment of up to ten hours a month is expected. All members will serve without compensation.
Applicants must be Carson City registered voters.
Let it be known that all applications submitted to this office will be considered public information. Applications will be accepted until April 2, 2020.
Interviews for the volunteer position will be tentatively scheduled for the April 16, 2020 Board of Supervisors meeting.
