Carson City area weather: Hit and miss systems, colder storm possible by weekend
Looking at the weather over the next few days, it may be been hit or miss with snow showers possible into Monday that could bring minor accumulations in the higher elevations with a stray shower possibly into western Nevada, according to the National Weather Service.
There is a storm for the middle of the week, but for now, forecaster say the brunt of it will be in southern Nevada. Still, areas south of US-50 could see rain and snow with the greatest totals for the Eastern Sierra.
Travel could be impacted on US-395 in Mono County late Tuesday into Wednesday. Warmer and drier conditions are likely for the end of the week, so these are the best days to get outdoors and, or travel.
As far as temperatures, we're looking at daytime highs in the mid to upper 50s Monday and Tuesday, and lower 60s Wednesday and Thursday.
