Board of Supervisors candidate Lisa Schuette to speak at Carson Dems' tele-luncheon
Lisa Schuette, Ward 4 candidate for the Carson City Board of Supervisors, will be the featured speaker at Monday's virtual Democratic luncheon. A retired health teacher and probation officer, Schuette founded the non-profit Carson Animal Services Initiative (CASI), which helped raise money to build and equip the new animal shelter.
Lisa currently serves on the Board of Directors for CASI and the Ron Wood Family Resource Center. She was named 2013’s Educator of the Year for Carson City School District, and in 2018 was named as one of Sierra Nevada’s Top-20 Powerful Women by Northern Nevada Business Weekly.
Sponsored by the Democratic Men's Committee, this event is scheduled for noon on Monday, May 11th, and will be held online via Zoom teleconference due to the temporary shutdown of in-person venues. Those wishing to be on distribution for a link to the teleconference can email Rich Dunn, Men's Committee Events Coordinator, at richdunn@aol.com.
