Carson Tahoe Hospital... why do they constantly lay/fire/re-hire doctors & P.A.'s?

Event Date:
January 11, 2012 (All day)

I would like to know why Carson Tahoe Hospital & Clinic goes through Doctors & P.A.'s like people drink water?
I have had to change doctors & P.A.'s continuiosly in the last 4 years. And I have been treated by some of what I consider THE BEST!! I was a paitent of P.A. Arthur Panigua who like myself thought that a more Homopathic route was perferable than to fill the body with harmful prescriptions which had more side effects worse than a cure. Carson Tahoe let him go not long AFTER HIRING HIM AND HAVING HIM MOVE FROM CALIFORNIA, he moved to a clinic in Topaz Ranch, I traveled from Carson to there just because he is a GREAT P.A. Who myself think of as a Doctor. They let him go... why? I MYSELF believe it is because he isn't a pill pusher!!!! I am not the only person to feel this way: (Below copied from from http://www.recordcourier.com/ Sept 2011)
EDITOR:

We have lived in Northern Nevada for 40 years and in Smith for 10 years.

We have utilized Topaz Ranch Medical Clinic for the last several and the service of PA Art Paniaqua.
It is so interesting in the time of Obama Care and of course of the conversations regarding health care cost and what can be done to contain those costs and still receive good health care. Topaz Medical Center with Art Paniaqua and his staff provide that.

The Topaz Ranch Medical Clinic to me is the epitome of what can be done to manage health care costs and to deliver caring and very professional health care at a reasonable price.
Art Paniaqua has taken care of all of my family member including my wife, elderly mother, daughter and grandson. He has provided the most caring, informative, intelligent and efficient health care imaginable. When was the last time a doctor or PA called to see how your elderly mother was doing after a mini-stroke, fall and broken shoulder? When was the last time you went to your health care professional that really listened and didn't look at his watch? When was the last time you visited your doctor's office and you felt like this person really knows you and really cares?

I can tell you at one point my elderly mother who is 89 years old was told by an attending physician at Yerington Hospital that my mom needed full-time care and needed to be placed into a nursing home. Wow, over $7,000 a month. After working with Art, my mom is still at Mason Valley Residence in assisted living, still experiencing quality of life and our family is saving over $3,000 month on being able to stay there. I would say that there is something very right about Art's approach.
I am not sure why Art resigned but there are indications that he tried with all of his might to stay.

We feel so sad as a family that Art will no longer be providing his care and expertise to our family.
I have been on Carson Valley Medical Center's Web site this morning and they list no board of directors, no hospital administrator and no comment section so I will further delve into contacting the administration of CVM.

Our family has had many experiences with CVM and they have all been very positive but in this case I must hold my thoughts until we find out what happened to Art.
I call on The Record-Courier and citizens of our community to find out why Art is gone. It is an absolute travesty.

This was not the only letter written, just one of many. So yet again I was forced to find another who I felt comfortable with. Well in Carson City... they don't take new patients. Even if you are NOT on Medicare or State assistance. I have Blue Cross and can't find a local Doctor to save my life, that is saying a lot as I have CLL a Lukemia. FINALLY I find one who is like Art, Dr. Cynthia Archer... recuited by CARSON TAHOE from Arizona. I
go in in Novemeber 2011, see her, we chat... she is fixing her office up still and I get blood work done, they tell me they will call for follow up. I call them TODAY and I find out she is no longer there... they will have me see another Doctor!!! First they say it will not be until late Febuary!! I tell them, NO... I was supposed to have a follow up TWO MONTHS AGO, so they scheduled me for two weeks from today. WHAT THE FUDGE!!!! I have seen so many NEW FACES OF DOCTORS come and go from Carson Tahoe Hospital and now it seems common practice for their Clinics too. This is not right. I urge EACH and EVERYONE of you to call the Governor/Mayor and ASK THEM.. "Why is Carson Tahoe & Clinic going through Doctors & P.A.'s like water?" I have started a patition to demand a public viewing of the hiring practices of Carson Tahoe & the Clinic. Carson Tahoe cannot treattheir Doctors/P.A.'s let alone their paitents like this WE DEMAND TO KNOW WHY!!!!
If You wish to sign this petition PLEASE DO we need 200 signatures to send this to the Govenor & Mayor making demands for a change!
