Edwin Lyngar, a freelance writer, penned a “From the Left” piece this week in the Reno paper under the headline, “Trump’s tax policy is an attack on the community”. He hit the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA), President Trump and all Republicans and limited government conservatives.

Carson City emergency crews are on scene of a single vehicle injury accident at the park and ride parking lot off U.S. Highway West just west of the Spooner Junction with Interstate 580, U.S. Highways 395 and 50.

One male victim is currently being treated for a head injury, and Care Flight has been called in to transport.

Mother Nature could not have picked a better weekend for sunshine and warm temperatures in the Nevada state capital as Carson City celebrated Earth Day with a garden festival Sunday at the historic Foreman-Roberts House, 1207 North Carson Street.

Three hot air balloons were visible to residents of South Carson City early Sunday as the aircraft floated above the Nevada state capital on a temperature Spring morning.

Two of the balloons touched down in South Carson City neighborhoods. A third was last seen gaining altitude and floating northeast of town.
