Carson City 2018 Fair Coloring Contest Winners Announced

During the 2018 Carson City Fair, Carson Now held a coloring contest which produced 53 excellent entries, voted on by 433 voters. The entries were on display through the weekend in the exhibition hall of Fuji Park.

Carson City emergency crews respond to vehicle rollover near Goni water tower

Carson City Fire Department and sheriff's deputies were called Monday afternoon to the area of the Goni water tower where there was a vehicle rollover with three having suffered minor injuries.
Two Nevada Army Guard helicopters, C-130s to support California firefighting efforts

CARSON CITY — A total of 16 soldiers aboard two Nevada Army Guard helicopters are set to begin firefighting efforts Monday while based out of Lampson Field Airport in Lakeport, Calif.

Carson City arrests: Man jailed for allegedly dropping pen full of meth at black jack table

A 46-year-old Carson City man was arrested for suspicion of felony possession of a controlled substance after allegedly dropping a pen full of methamphetamine at a casino Sunday night, a sheriff's deputy said.
