April 5, 2014 - 11:00am "Eye on US Education" will be holding a rally opposing Common Core simultaneously in at least 13 states on Saturday 4/05/2014 at 11:00 AM.
The rally in Carson City will be held in front of the Legislature Building on Carson Street at 4th & 5th. Bring lots of signs and posters.

March 27, 2014 - 6:30pm The Carson City Republican Central Committee will host a candidate forum on Thursday, March 27, 7 p.m. at the Silver State Charter High School, 788 Fairview Drive in Carson City. A meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. ahead of the forum.
The public is welcome to attend the March meeting of Carson City Republican Central Committee and to meet the candidates that are running for local office. Get to know the candidates you will be voting for in the June primaries.

Action Adventure Expo

May 16, 2014 - 2:00pm The Action Adventure Expo will be held May 16 and 17, 2014, in the Pavilion at the Douglas County Fairgrounds in Gardnerville.
The event will feature vendors from the Carson Valley and Lake Tahoe, including Grand Sponsor David Wally's Hot Springs Resort and Spa. The focus will be on the active or adventurous lifestyle.

Signups are underway for the Caddyshack-themed Golf Fore The Kids Charity Children's Golf Tournament to be held on Sunday, May 4, at Eagle Valley East Golf Course in Carson City.
This tournament, hosted by the Carson City Downtown Business Association, will benefit the Children's Museum of Northern Nevada and the Eagle Valley Children's Home.

Local businesses and job seekers can look forward to connecting opportunity with talent at the Carson Valley Job Opportunity Fair on April 4, 2014 from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm at the CVIC Hall, 1602 Esmeralda, Minden.
With attendance of 33 employers and agencies at the same event a year ago, an even greater turnout is expected this time around.
