A 26-year-old Carson City woman was arrested in the 200 block of West Winnie Lane Saturday evening for suspicion of DUI second offense, a gross misdemeanor, felony violation of pretrial release, failure to stop at a stop sign, and failure to practice due care, a sheriff's deputy said.

A pair of Carson City Detention Center inmates were charged with felony battery by prisoner Friday afternoon at 12:40 p.m. at the Carson City Jail after video surveillance footage showed one inmate getting jumped by two others in a cell, a Carson City Sheriff's deputy reported.

Tiffani Barber was diagnosed with stage four brain cancer on Dec. 8, 2012. For those of you who didn't know Tiffani, all she ever wanted to do was help people.

So it was no surprise to those closest to her that when the social worker assigned to her case asked her what she needed, Tiffani replied with, "How can I help?"
