Crash at Highway 50 and Sunrise Drive causes traffic delay

A vehicle crash early Tuesday evening near Highway 50 and Sunrise Drive in East Carson City is causing traffic delays. The crash was reported at around 5:20 p.m. No serious injuries are being reported. Traffic is being diverted around the incident.

Nevada Arts Council announces 2020 grant awards for artists

CARSON CITY — The Nevada Arts Council announced the awarding of $22,639.60 in statewide grants to support individual artists in the production and presentation of artistic projects that will occur between Jan. 1 and June 30, 2020.

A 29-year-old Carson City man was booked Monday for a felony warrant, resisting arrest and battery on a peace officer, a sheriff's deputy report states.

A 25-year-old Carson City man was arrested in the area of Sherman and Highway 50 on multiple felonies, including eluding with endangerment and assault with a deadly weapon on a peace officer. Misdemeanor charges included resisting a public officer, reckless driving, and failure to use due care.
