The Carson City Band Association, Inc. will host its annual Wine and Silent Auction “Let’s Wine Together” fundraiser at the Governor’s Mansion on April 8, 2017 from 5-7:30 p.m. Tickets are $25 and include wine and appetizers. Music will be provided by some of our own Carson High band students.

A musical lineup headlined by national award-winning musicians is expected to draw a crowd of thousands to the inaugural Carl Howell Memorial Music Festival Aug. 19 in Carson City.

The Carson City Band Association, Inc. (CCBAI) is hosting its annual “Let’s Wine Together” Wine and Silent Auction fundraiser at the Governor’s Mansion on Saturday, April 8, 2017 from 5-7:30 PM. There will also be a Silent Auction and raffle with many donated items from our generous local community businesses.

Professional Saleswomen of Nevada (PSN) is seeking nominations for their 30th annual Saleswoman of the Year (SWOTY) and Jr. SWOTY Award (open to all full-time students) award luncheon to be held on Tuesday, May 9 from 11am-1pm at the Atlantis Casino Resort.

Get your St. Patrick’s green on and come out for the 27th annual Casino Night, hosted by Kiwanis Club of Dayton Township, Saturday, March 18 at Dayton Community Center, 170 Pike St., in Old Town.

“This is one of several fundraisers Kiwanis does each year, including our pancake breakfasts,” said Richard Amrhein, club vice president. “All proceeds are used to support our young people.”

Get your tickets now for the Annual Nowruz “New Year” Celebration Feast to benefit Veterans Healing Camp on Tuesday, March 21 from 5 to 10 p.m. at the Casino Fandango Buffet Banquet Room in Carson City.

This casual and festive fundraiser features great food, music, dancing, silent auction and door prize. Nowruz is the ancient Persian “New Year” celebrated since 1700 B.C. that occurs on the first day of spring at the vernal equinox. A fundraiser for the inaugural Carl Howell Memorial Music Festival was held Saturday night at Jimmy G's Cigar Bar in downtown Carson City. Those who participated purchased various adult beverages by the shot.

Building a champion is no small task, especially when working with LEGOs.

But that's exactly what Eagle Valley Middle School's LEGO Robotics Team has done this year.

A fundraiser will be held Saturday, March 11 at Jimmy G’s Cigar Bar in Carson City to help cover costs with the inaugural Carl Howell Memorial Music Festival this summer at Battle Born Harley-Davidson in Carson City.

The community is invited to attend the 27th annual Casino Night, hosted by Kiwanis Club of Dayton Township on Saturday, March 18 at Dayton Community Center, 170 Pike Street in Old Town.

There will be a planning and volunteer meeting this Tuesday, 6:15 p.m. for the inaugural Deputy Howell Memorial Music Festival. The meeting will be at Battle Born Harley Davidson, 2900 Research Way.

Please join us for a fun, hands-on evening of activities Thursday, March 2 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at Eagle Valley Middle School.

I’m keeping my fingers crossed for clear skies, but there are rumors of snow flurries. Luckily there are indoor and outdoor activities, no matter what blows our way. At the top of the list for today is Winter, Wine, Spirits, and All That Jazz at the Brewery Arts Center. Their annual fundraiser is not to be missed.

Please join us at Saint Mary's in the Mountains, Virginia City as we launch our wines for 2017. The event is Saturday and Sunday, 25th and 26th February from 1-3 p.m. each day.

The $5 suggested donation includes four wines and paired appetizers. All proceeds go to the Friends of Saint Mary's for restoration and renovations of our beloved Church.

Silent auction both days, and we will have wine and commemorative wines glasses available for sale.

This year's Lincoln Day Dinner and Fundraiser for the Carson City Republican Party is a Winter Luau theme. Costumes are optional but come and enjoy the fun atmosphere. Organizers of the Deputy Howell Memorial Music Festival and Fundraiser set for August in Carson City have announced a volunteer organizational meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2017 at Battle Born Harley-Davidson in Carson City. Organizers are looking for volunteers and anyone who has experience in planning events. The meeting is at 6 p.m. Battle Born Harley-Davidson is located at 2900 Research Way.
