Authorities say man in photo stole 50-inch TV from Walmart

The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a person of interest in a theft at the Walmart on Topsy Lane south of Carson City.

The Carson City Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a person of interest associated with a theft happened at the Chevron Gas Station, 1102 North Carson Street, in Downtown Carson City on Oct. 24.

At about 2:55 p.m., the female depicted in the attached photographs and video surveillance entered the store while the clerk was distracted and stole a donations jar located on the counter. The jar contained an undisclosed amount of cash and coin that was being collected for children leukemia and lymphoma research. The female exit the store and fled the area.

Women sought in theft of $3,700 in makeup from south Carson City beauty supply store

On July 3, 2015 at approximately 7:30 p.m., three Hispanic females, late teens to early 20s, entered the store with what appeared to be empty handbags. The suspects walk directly to the shelves and quickly removed approximately $3,762 worth of makeup. The suspects concealed the makeup in the handbags and exited the store, making no attempt to pay for the merchandise.

A Carson City man arrested last week on felony warrant charges and was considered a person of interest in a June 1 armed robbery of a woman in the driveway of her residence, has formally been charged with the crime, a Carson City sheriff’s lieutenant said.

Jac Owen, 24, was arrested June 11 at a Jumbo Way home on three unrelated outstanding felony warrants.

Lyon County Sheriff's Office asks for public's help locating missing Dayton area woman

The Lyon County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help locating a missing Dayton area woman. Britney Nicole Jackson went missing from Dayton on April 10, 2015 and has not been heard from or seen from family and friends.

She might be in the Reno area and family members say she may be being held against her will. She is 20 years old, 5'5", 120 pounds, brown hair and eyes, Hawaiian flower tattoo across her chest. Her vehicle was located in Sparks, and the man driving her car, Allen Elseth, has been arrested but refuses to give Britney's location, family members say.

Fifth suspect in Carson City area burglary ring arrested, admits breaking into 18 homes

A fifth arrest was made late Tuesday night in connection with a burglary ring that extended over three counties and involved several home invasions that began as far back as this summer, a Carson City sheriff’s lieutenant said.

Tracey Lock, 40, was booked into custody at the Carson City Sheriff’s Office on felony burglary and drug charges as part of the ongoing investigation involving Carson City, Washoe and Douglas county law enforcement agencies, said Lt. Brian Humphrey. His bail has been set at $100,000. Others are being sought for questioning.

Carson City Sheriff's Office seeks information on 2 robberies in less than 11 hours

The Carson City Sheriff’s Office is investigating two armed robberies that happened within 10 hours apart. These two robberies are not considered to be committed by the same person, but cannot be ruled out as of yet.
Monday late evening, at approximately 8:09 p.m., Carson City sheriff’s deputies responded to Adam and Eve, located at 3220 Highway 50 East for a reported armed robbery.

Two women arrested in Carson City sheriff's burglary investigation, 2 being sought

Carson City Sheriff Ken Furlong announced Friday that two more arrests were made overnight in connection with a rash of burglaries spread over Carson City, Washoe and Douglas counties. There's also one person of interest being sought and one person wanted. Four have been arrested thus far.

The new arrests are: Rachel Strull, 28. She is charged with two counts of maintaining a drug house, a felony, and use and possession of drug and paraphernalia, a misdemeanor. Her bail is $10,000. Also in custody is Crystal Bullock (Paetz), 31. She is charged with possession of a control substance, child neglect and endangerment, a gross misdemeanor. Bail $2,500.
