Georgia-based rock duo 2 Broke Kings will appear in concert at Carson Hot Springs as part of festivities at the July 13, 2019 Sassabration.

The 5th annual Sassabration celebrates diversity, community, equality. It will be held at Carson Hot Springs, Shoe Tree Brewery Company and Sassafras Eclectic Food Joint, 1500 Old Hot Springs Road in Carson City.

The capital city will celebrate Tinseltown, classic cinema and raise money for Carson City school art programs at the 5th annual Hollywood Gala on Saturday, May 18 with the theme "A Star is Born" hosted by Carson City Classic Cinema Club.

Sassafras Eclectic Food Joint in Carson City will hold its kickoff Sassabration fundraiser event "Brunch and Bingo with Bea," a tribute to the late comedy actress, singer and activist Bea Arthur on May 12.

A fundraiser for a Carson City mother who is currently battling stage 4 breast, bone and liver cancer is set for this Saturday, April 27 at Flat Earth Pizza.

The fundraiser for Mila Mangone of Carson City is from opening to closing, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the pizza restaurant, located at 2010 E William Street. Portions of the proceeds collected at the fundraiser will help Mila's treatment plan.

Tiffani Barber was diagnosed with stage four brain cancer on Dec. 8, 2012. For those of you who didn't know Tiffani, all she ever wanted to do was help people.

So it was no surprise to those closest to her that when the social worker assigned to her case asked her what she needed, Tiffani replied with, "How can I help?"
