Ron Wood Family Resource Center fills gaps in critical services

CARSON CITY — Legislation from 1995 established Family Resource Centers in Nevada, and today FRCs provide information, referrals, and case management to residents in almost every urban center in the state. In a broad sense, FRCs work with local and state agencies and other groups to help individuals and families access needed services and support.

Sassabration celebrates diversity at fourth annual festival in Carson City

The fourth annual Sassabration is happening now through Saturday evening in the parking lot of Carson Hot Springs Resort, 1500 Old Hot Springs Road in Carson City.

The 11-hour diversity festival, co-hosted this year by Sassafras Eclectic Food Joint, Carson Hot Springs Resort, and Shoe Tree Brewing Company, started at noon Saturday and runs until 10 p.m. tonight.
