Sailors from the USS Nevada nuclear submarine were in Carson City on Sunday for tours of the Nevada State Museum and Nevada State Railroad Museum.

Friends of Carson City Library at Reno Aces game

You can purchase left field reserve tickets for $20, with a portion of the proceeds going to the Friends of the Carson City Library. Ticket purchasers will also receive free Reno Aces hats, as well as $1 hot dogs and sodas at the concession stands.

Statewide events in May celebrate historic preservation, archaeology

May is a month to celebrate historic preservation and archaeology in Nevada.

Nevada agencies and organizations have worked to spread awareness of archaeological and historic preservation efforts throughout the state, encouraging both residents and visitors to explore and learn about Nevada’s significant archaeological and historical treasures.

Eagle Valley Middle School Day at the Reno Aces

The Reno Aces will be hosting a fundraiser to help the Eagle Valley Middle School Lego Robotics Team get to England. The game will take place on Friday, May 12th at 6:00 PM. Tickets are only $15 with proceeds going to help the Lego Robotics Team. Each ticket is located in the Right Infield Section and comes with a complimentary Reno Aces Ball Cap.

Online registration for St. Teresa Summer Camp begins Wednesday

It's nearly summer and that means time to sign up for Carson City area youth summer camp. Online registration begins this Wednesday, April 26, for the St. Teresa Summer Camp, which runs June 12 through August 11 for Carson City and surrounding area children grades kindergarten through 8th.

A benefit event to raise money for the surviving children of Heavenly Schwitchenberg, who died recently in a car accident, takes place today, Thursday, from 4 to 8 p.m., at Gold Canyon Cafe, 160 Main St., in Old Town Dayton.

Moose Lodge to Host 39th annual Easter Egg Hunt succeeding Kiwanis of Carson City

The Reno Aces Baseball Club and Professional Sports Catering have revamped and reinvented the menus at Greater Nevada Field in 2017, officials announced Thursday. Additional game day concepts for the 2017 season include numerous brisket and bacon options, specialty hot dogs for every opponent, and an 1868 Burger, inspired by Reno 1868 FC.

Reno Aces extend television partnership with My21TV

The Reno Aces Baseball Club announced Tuesday a one-year local broadcast partnership extension with Reno’s My21TV, part of the Sinclair Broadcast Group, INC. My21TV will remain the exclusive English-language broadcast home of the Reno Aces Baseball Club and air 14 Aces games throughout the season.

Community Welcome to Aces Themed Trick or Treat Event

Kids of all ages are invited to Greater Nevada Credit Union’s trick-or-treat event from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on October 31 at the Eagle Station branch located at 451 Eagle Station Lane in Carson City.

Guests can play Halloween games, enjoy treats, and get their pictures taken with Reno Aces baseball mascot Archie from 3:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. There is no charge to attend, and the branch is also collecting canned food to benefit the Food Bank of Northern Nevada from those who would like to donate.

Pence loves elevation, Panik and Adrianza do well in rehab loss to Aces

Hunter Pence continued his AAA assault last night in Reno by hitting his second home run in as many nights at once again a Giants' friendly Greater Nevada Field.

I think he loves the thin air and elevation.

Pence came into the game batting a modest .500 (8 for 16) and added 2 more RBI to his total since being on his rehab assignment giving him 6 in 6 games. It was his third home run since being with Sacramento.

Pence played a full nine innings for a second straight night which have a lot of people believing his return to San Francisco is extremely close.

The Seeliger Singers, Seeliger Elementary School’s choir directed by Mary Law, will perform the National Anthem at the May 31 Reno Aces baseball game.

When the Flocchini family, owners of Sierra Meat and Seafood Company in Reno, purchased The Sausage Factory last May from long-time owner Joe Tonino, they sought to build upon an already good product.

The Reno Aces Baseball Club and Professional Sports Catering have revamped and reinvented the menus at Bugsy’s BBQ and Duffy’s Ale House within Greater Nevada Field’s premises. Additional game day concepts for the 2016 season include three new signature concession brands and partnerships with local food hotspots, including Wild Garlic pizza, Flocchini sausage and hot dogs made in Carson City and Sierra Meats burger meat.

Kiwanis Club of Carson City's 38th Annual Easter Egg Hunt

Kiwanis, Carson City, Reno Aces, Archie, Easter Egg, Egg Hunt

Kiwanis Club of Carson City hosted its 38th Annual Easter Egg Hunt at Centennial Park on Saturday, March 26, 2016. Hundreds of gathers attended this event and took part in the egg hunt. Local country station, KBUL 98.1FM, emceed the event.

Reno Aces mascot, Archie, was on hand for pictures as well as entertainment for the kids. Carson High School's Key Club provided the Easter Bunny for photos. Kiwanis Club of Carson City provided more than twenty volunteers to ensure this event would be successful.

Reality TV Star Johnny Bananas to attend Reno Aces' Opening Night

Renowned for his appearances on MTV’s The Challenge and The Real World, television personality Johnny Bananas will attend the Reno Aces’ Opening Night on April 7. Game time from Greater Nevada Field is set for 6:35 p.m., when the Aces will take the field against the El Paso Chihuahuas.
