A 59-year-old Carson City man was booked into jail Tuesday on a felony warrant issued the same day out of Victorville District Court in San Bernardino County, Calif., on suspicion of committing illegal sex acts.

A 67-year-old Carson City man was arrested Friday, 1:20 p.m. in the 400 block of East Park Street on a felony warrant, suspicion of sexual assault of a child, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.
In custody is Ramon Medina-Lopez who was arrested in the 400 block of East Park Street in Carson City.

Carson City sheriff's arrest log: Four jailed Sunday on disorderly, obstructing charges

Four men were arrested on misdemeanor charges Sunday night including disorderly conduct and obstructing after officers were called to an apartment complex at 20 College Parkway regarding a noise complaint, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.

According to the arrest report, officers were called at 11:12 p.m. to the area in reference to a noise complaint. Upon arrival a deputy stated he heard subjects making a lot of noise on the west side of the complex.

Man jailed on felony suspicion of child endangerment and firearm possession

A 37-year-old Carson City man was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of child endangerment, being a prohibited person in possession of a firearm, and misdemeanor possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.

Carson City officers investigate gunfire in the area of Rand and Long streets

UPDATE 10PM: A suspect vehicle has been identified in Thursday night's shooting in the area of Rand and Long streets, according to Carson City sheriff's investigators. The vehicle officers are looking for that may be associated with the shooting is described as a possible blue or black 2008-2010 Chevy pickup, lowered, with possible chrome rims, and tinted windows. Carson city sheriff's arrest log: several DUI arrests made this weekend

A Mill Valley, Calif., man was arrested at 3:03 a.m. Sunday at East Musser at Carson Street on suspicion of DUI, speeding and driving with a suspended or revoked license, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.

The vehicle was stopped after being clocked going 50 mph in a 35 and 48 mph in a 25 mph zone, according to the arrest report. The driver was contacted where he identified himself with a California driver’s license that came back suspended.

Carson City jail inmate faces felony battery charge

A 49-year-old Carson City man, in jail on unrelated charges, faces a felony charge of battery by a prisoner. Inmate Scott Michael Tyzbir was involved in a physical confrontation Thursday, 6:45 p.m. with a prisoner inside a jail pod, according to the arrest report. Officers interviewed Tyzbir and the victim who had visible marks on him due to the fight. Bail: $20,000.

A 22-year-old Carson City man was arrested Monday on a felony charge of parole violation and misdemeanor charges of petit larceny after allegedly taking clothing and a watch from two department stores, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.

Shawn Anderson was booked into jail at 6:38 p.m. without bail awaiting a hearing for the parole violation charge. According to the arrest report, Anderson was stopped outside of Kohl’s by loss prevention after being seen leaving the store with a shirt. Anderson threw the shirt at the security officer and took off running, leaving his getaway vehicle.

Nevada Parole and Probation officers catch man breaking into their own vehicles

A 53-year-old man was arrested Thursday in the 100 block of East Long Street after he allegedly attempted to burglarize two cars in the parking lot of the Nevada Parole and Probation office, a Carson City sheriff's deputy said.

Arrested was Robert Allen Stewart on two felony charges of attempted vehicle burglary and a gross misdemeanor charge of possession of burglary tools. He's being held on $12,500 bail.

Carson City sheriff's SET deputies arrest pair on felony drug charges

Two women were jailed Thursday on felony drug charges after the Carson City Sheriff's Office Special Enforcement Team was tipped off that they may have been transporting narcotics from Reno.

Arrested were Joanna Shirey, 21, and Alicia Warthan, 32, both of Carson City. Officers attempting to locate the suspect vehicle, a blue Suzuki Sidekick with a white top, found it tailgating a white sedan at 6:23 p.m. on Russell Way.

Carson City sheriff's deputies arrest man on felony child neglect charge

A 39-year-old Carson City man was arrested Wednesday on a felony charge of child neglect after he was found intoxicated with his young daughter in a department store fitting room, a Carson City sheriff's deputy said.

Robert Brent Key is in Carson City Jail on $40,150 bail. According to the arrest report, deputies were called to the department store at 8:56 p.m. in the 3800 block of South Carson Street after store employees reported a heavily intoxicated man who was knocking over clothing racks.

Man with felony warrants jailed for giving Carson City deputy the wrong name

A 20-year-old man was arrested Monday on multiple felony charges including two warrants, a Carson City sheriff's deputy said. Cahner Stephen Yews, of Gardnerville, was taken into custody at 11:16 a.m. in the area of Roop and John streets following a traffic stop.
According to the arrest report, officers stopped the vehicle, occupied by four people, because it had suspended plates.

Armed robbery reported at Rand Avenue liquor store

UPDATE: Carson City sheriff's deputies are looking for two armed robbery suspects who made off with money from a convenience and liquor store on Rand Avenue near William Street on Saturday night.

Two men, described as white, dressed in black and wearing hoodies, are being sought. One man was described as heavy set, around six feet tall. The second suspect was described as weighing around 170 pounds and around 5 foot 9.

No one was hurt in the robbery. A black semi-automatic handgun was used and an undetermined amount of money was taken.

Carson City Sheriff's Office deputies make multiple misdemeanor arrests Monday

A 25-year-old Carson City man was arrested Monday in the 800 block of East Long Street. He faces two failure to appear in court charges and driving on a suspended license, all misdemeanors.

According to the arrest report, a Carson City Sheriff's Office deputy stopped the man after observing an unlicensed vehicle traveling south on Roop Street.

A 23-year-old Carson City woman turned herself into Carson City Jail deputies Monday on a felony charge of suspicion of first offense burglary.

Melissa Eleanor Mulder was being held on $20,000 bondable bail. A warrant for her arrest was issued Jan. 2, 2014 out of Carson City Justice Court.

Carson City man arrested on suspicion of felony domestic battery

A 30-year-old Carson City man was arrested Dec. 14, 7:38 p.m. in the 1500 block of Rand Avenue. Bruce Tapia faces a felony charge of domestic battery. According to the arrest report, officers responded to the 200 block of Carson Meadows Drive on a report of a domestic battery in progress.

Carson City sheriff's office dispatched advised a Tapia had thrown a beer bottle at a woman and was advised he was leaving the residence, the arrest report states.

A 50-year-old Carson City motel manager faces a felony charge of intimidating a witness. Britt Andrew Taylor was arrested early Friday morning in the 1500 block of Rand Avenue.

According to the arrest report, Carson City Sheriff's Office deputies were called to a motel on Rand Avenue regarding a domestic battery. On the scene officers made contact with a female victim who was outside, on the ground, unconscious in front of the manager's apartment as well as a female witness who was there trying to stop the woman's head from bleeding by applying pressure on it.

A 26-year-old Carson City woman was arrested at 5:27 p.m. at Walmart in the 3200 block of Market Street. She faces misdemeanor charges of petit larceny and disorderly conduct. A 34-year-old woman with her face charges of petit larceny and violation of a suspended sentence.

Carson City man jailed on felony charges after admitting to six Home Depot thefts

A Carson City man faces felony burglary charges after admitting to stealing items from Home Deport on six occasions and exchanging them for gift cards that he would sell to pay for food and rent while maintaining his drug habit.

Michael McDowell, 49, was arrested Tuesday in the 1400 block of Rand Avenue. According to the arrest report, the Carson City Sheriff's Office was advised by a Home Depot security specialist that she was investigating McDowell for stealing items and returning them to the Home Depot at 3185 Market Street in exchange for gift cards.

Carson City road construction report for Aug. 12-18

Here is the Carson City road construction and maintenance report for the week of Aug. 12-18. Tuesday, August 13, the outside eastbound lane on Fairview Drive will be closed between Roop Street and Industrial Park Drive during the early morning hours. The lane is expected to reopen by 7 a.m.

From Thursday, August 15, and Friday, August 16, the inside lanes in both directions on William Street will be closed from just east of Rand Avenue to just west of the interchange with the Carson City Freeway.

A 31-year-old Reno woman faces a felony charge of grand larceny after Carson City deputies were able to look at surveillance video that showed her taking a 2005 Dodge truck on July 10 from the parking lot at Smith's.

Woman jailed for allegedly stealing truck from Smith's parking lot in Carson City

A 31-year-old woman was jailed Wednesday after allegedly stealing a 2005 Dodge truck with the keys left inside from the parking lot at Smith's in Carson City.

Kendra Ann Harkey of Reno is being held on $25,000 bail in the Carson City Jail. According to the arrest report, dispatch advised officers at 10:15 a.m. to be on the look out for the silver-colored truck with Nevada plates.

A Carson City sheriff's officer advised they had located the truck that matched the description parked in the lot of 1400 Rand Avenue. The truck was occupied by Harkey, according to the arrest report.
