'Loud as Folk' Runnin out of Daylight Tour to play Carson City's Brewery Arts Center

The "Runnin out of Daylight Tour" will have Carson City's Brewery Arts Center as one of its tour stops, which includes Nevada, California, Oregon, and Washington.

Take full advantage of your free time and check out some of today’s activities. Live music at McFadden Plaza tonight features local cover band, Deception. The Bowers Mansion Bluegrass Festival kicks off tonight with a band in the Davis Creek Campground. The U.S. Air Force’s Jazz Ensemble performs at the Bob Boldrick Theater as part of the Jazz and Beyond Music Festival. Free tickets have been available at the Chamber of Commerce for a few weeks, and if any are left, their numbers will be limited.
Irish Folk Singer Seamus Kennedy Plays Great Basin Brewery in Sparks

The event will begin at 6 p.m. for those wanting to order food from the brewery menu (corned beef and cabbage will be available) and then concert will start at 8 p.m.
Tickets are $25 for non members and $20 for SADOE members and food is not included. Tickets may be purchased online through BrownPaperTickets.com or in person at Brewery in Sparks. There will be up to a $2 service fee per ticket on any credit card transaction.

Freshman, and their parents, are welcomed to Carson High School this morning for orientation, an overview of policies, and a tour.

King St. The concert was originally planned for Comma Courtyard, but the performers want to present the event in a comfortable and healthy atmosphere.

Luckily, you’ll always have some choices that let you stay indoors and break routine. You’ll find bowling specials at the Gold Dust West and at Carson Lanes if the kids need to burn off some energy. A trip to one of our local art galleries will bring some color (and air conditioning) into your day. Milton Merlos in Concert at Dangberg Historic Park

Milton Merlos, who plays in the Spanish Flamenco style, is a native of Boston. Merlos started playing the guitar at age twelve, and began playing professionally at sixteen. Travels to Spain instilled a love for the Spanish Flamenco style of playing. Now a professional musician with eighteen years of experience, he lives part-time in western Nevada.

Black is an old-school country music singer-songwriter. He plays multiple instruments and his career has been stirring fans since the late 1980s. He loves to produce, as well, and he was inducted into the Grand Ole Opry in 1991.
