It’s going to get hot again today with a high of 93, but don’t worry, as we get out further into the week the weather will turn more autumnal with highs in the 70s. It could be the last hot day for a while, at least until a freak 90s+ hot day in November followed by a week long blizzard, so enjoy it while it’s here!

This is a judged Carson City show and there isn't a set theme, although the show committee will select a painting for the coveted "Spirit of Nevada" award.

The Historical Societies in Dayton and Douglas County are hosting lectures this evening: you just have to decide between learning about the Nevada Women’s Project or artist Hans Mayer Kassel.

Kenny began oil painting classes at the Brewery Arts Center in January 2013, with previous endeavors as a self-taught artist using pencil drawings. Kenny has also creates in watercolor and pastels. Besides creating art paintings based on desire, he also takes on commission art requests.

On November 3, 4 and 5, the Carson Mall located at 1313 South Carson Street, Carson City will be hosting the first ever Fine Arts Faire, which will include the work of over 25 artists from primarily Northern Nevada and as far away as Kalispell, Montana.
