After the parade come on down to Carson City Art Gallery, 110 S Curry Street, corner of 2nd, in downtown Carson City. There will be some artists displaying art both within and without the Gallery. Artists will also be coming down to talk with the public about their artwork, techniques, and experience.

Several residents were concerned Vice President Mike Pence's visit to Carson City on parade day, where he plans to rally support for Senator Dean Heller and Attorney General Adam Laxalt, would disrupt Nevada Day scheduled events, but Sheriff Kenny Furlong said that isn't the case.

This season's event is the 12th organized ride, and will take place Friday, October 26 beginning at 6 pm with the first stop at the Tap Shack at 112 Rice Street. The event is free and open to the public, and all are welcomed and encouraged to attend.

They provide pet food and basic emergency veterinary care to the homeless pets in local communities across the United States including Carson City.
Last year’s drive collected almost 1,200 pounds of pet food and supplies valued at more than $3,000.
