We invite classes 1966 through 1972, and teachers.
Saturday will be a barbecue for classmates only at the home of Paul Sinnott.

Nevada celebrates Sesquicentennial with August event lineup

These Nevada 150 events celebrate all things Nevada and help bring awareness to the 150th Anniversary of Statehood. The following events are held Aug. 15 through Aug. 31.
Miss USA Nia Sanchez to celebrate official Nevada homecoming

This will be Sanchez’s first celebration trip since becoming the first Miss USA from Nevada since she was crowned on Sunday, June 8.
Miss USA’s homecoming will kick off with a visit to the state’s capital, Carson City. Sanchez will have the opportunity to meet several government officials while visiting the historic Nevada State Capitol.

Marine veteran amputee, cyclist Rob Jones to arrive in Carson City as part of awareness campaign
Submitted by Jeff Munson on Tue, 03/18/2014 - 10:38amA double amputee Marine veteran, Rob Jones, will be in Carson City today and Wednesday as part of his efforts to cycle across America, raise awareness and to "pay it forward" to veteran organizations that helped him in his recovery.
The public is invited to meet Jones at a reception at the Hampton Inn, 10 Hospitality Way Tuesday beginning at 4 p.m. He will have arrived after cycling from Fallon to Silver Springs on Highway 50. Jones cycles approximately 35 miles every day as part of the campaign. He lost his legs when he stepped on an IED in Afghanistan in 2010.
Carson City branch of AAA hosts March 20 spring fling; games, refreshments and prizes

Refreshments will be served, while games and prizes will be offered throughout the day. Office hours are 8:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Members and non-members are invited. Carson City’s new branch manager, Haldon Johnson, will be on hand for a meet and greet with his staff.

Third Carson City Job Fair in October aims to be the biggest yet

Hosted by Carson City Health and Human Services, JOIN and The Carson City Chamber of Commerce, the Fall Job Fair will be open to the public from 2 to 5 p.m. There will be up to 50 employers at the event, all seeking the right person to fill their job openings, said Lynn Ellis, WorkForce Program Case Manager for Carson City Health and Human Services.
Plan B hosts free showing of '12 Angry Men' and hosts '12 Angry Jurors' cast meet and greet

Before the film, at 6 p.m., the cast of Proscenium Players "12 Angry Jurors" will make an appearance, in costume and in character. The director of the play, which opens August 16 at Silver State Charter School, will also be on hand to answer questions.

The now Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee, founding member of iconic rock band The Jefferson Airplane and of long-touring band Hot Tuna and legendary guitarist in his own right, plays High Sierra Brewing Company, Thursday, Oct. 18 at 8 p.m. in a show produced by Chili Bop Entertainment.

Wilke-McChulloch ran in that race’s primary election, coming in third with 24 percent of the vote. Wilke-McChulloch says she is endorsing Bonkowski because he is the most open minded and approachable candidate.

July 13th will start off with a meet and greet at High Sierra Brewery beginning, at 6pm. On July 14th, golf has been set up at Silver Oak Golf Course with tee times beginning at 8:00 am. Dinner, with a live band will follow at that location beginning at 6:00 pm. On Sunday the 15th, family day at Round Hill Beach at Tahoe will complete the activities.
