Miss USA Nia Sanchez to celebrate official Nevada homecoming
Newly crowned Miss USA 2014, Nia Sanchez, will return to her home state of Nevada for her official homecoming trip Wednesday, July 16 through Sunday, July 20. This will be Sanchez’s first celebration trip since becoming the first Miss USA from Nevada since she was crowned on Sunday, June 8.
Miss USA’s homecoming will kick off with a visit to the state’s capital, Carson City. Sanchez will have the opportunity to meet several government officials while visiting the historic Nevada State Capitol.
Her celebration will continue in Las Vegas, where Sanchez will attend red carpet events, work with charities, including the Best Buddies and The Shade Tree, and stop at COLOR: A Salon by Michael Boychuck to receive the royal beauty treatment. In addition, Sanchez will greet the troops at Nellis Air Force Base, make a stop at Las Vegas City Hall and enjoy some of Las Vegas’ dining hot spots like Todd English Pub at The Shops at Crystals.
“I am so excited for my official return to Nevada,” says Sanchez. “Ever since I was crowned as Nevada’s first Miss USA, I have been looking forward to going back to where my journey started, surrounded by family, friends and loved ones. I’m so excited to see everyone!”
With Sanchez’s arrival in her hometown of Las Vegas, she will help launch recruitment for the Miss Nevada USA 2015 and Miss Nevada Teen USA 2015 pageants. Sanchez will appear at the Towbin FIAT of Las Vegas dealership, located at 2250 S. Jones Blvd., where she will host the first official recruitment event of the season from 4 to 6 p.m. on Saturday, July 19. Young women from all over Nevada will able to sign up to compete in the Miss Nevada USA 2015 pageant while enjoying a meet and greet with Miss USA and Miss Nevada Teen USA Alexa Taylor.
