Free Kid’s Inline Hockey Clinics begin Monday at Marv Teixeira Pavilion

Session times run from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m., for ages 6 - 9 years old.

It was an apt comparison. The eight previous Democratic debates were marked by relatively civil policy disagreements interrupted by occasional dustups and memorable one-liners. On Wednesday night, the gloves came off.

Carson City Schools hosts 'Screenagers' documentary viewing, talk on screen-time effects

The two showings, beginning at 5:30 and 7:00 p.m., will be free and open to the public. Parents are encouraged to bring their children.

Dozens of sweets are in store for Saturday. The American Association of University Women holds its 20th annual Feast of Chocolate at the Carson Plaza and Event Center. Artsy Fartsy Gallery hosts its 9th annual Jewelry and Chocolate Show with several new decorative pieces. To cap-off Saturday, the legendary Cab Calloway Orchestra makes its way to the capital city.
Nevada State Museum continues 150th anniversary of the Carson City Mint with weekend activities for kids

As part of its celebration of the 150th anniversary of the Carson City Mint — Mint 150 — the museum is hosting Kids Minting Days on Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 8-9. Children 17 and younger are admitted for free and each child will receive a commemorative copper medallion memorializing the Mint’s 150th anniversary.

Carson City’s Junior Victory Rollers Roller Derby Team raising funds to Head to LA

The Carson Junior Victory Rollers are headed to the Shamblock Shake tournament hosted by Los Anarchists roller derby team to compete on behalf of our great city. It was an honor for us to be invited and we hope we can make you all proud and come back with a win.

Events include the monthly downtown Carson City wine walk, plus karaoke at Bella Vita Bistro and Y-NOT Saloon. The Forest Service begins its first “Ski With a Ranger” at Lake Tahoe’s Heavenly Mountain Resort on Friday. Combined with championship football festivities on Sunday, the Silver State is in store for a wild, good time.
