Heading into the weekend, there’s an abundance of activities around the capital city region over the next three days. The Brewery Arts Center hosts a female version of "The Odd Couple." Carson City's Greenhouse Project is hosting a lunch and dinner fundraiser toward a healthier State Capitol. Dale Poune will perform at Bella Vita Bistro, plus comedy at the Carson Nugget, the Nevada Caucus on Saturday, an open house at the historic Foreman-Roberts House, a Latin-themed concert at the community center and more. The Carson City Celtic Music series will be at the Brewery Arts Center on Saturday featuring Fortunate Strangers. Joe is special to me because he is my Best Friend and supportive of all my antics. We have fun wherever we go and whatever we are doing whether it is fishing, boating, Polar Plunging, Karaoke, volunteering to cook for seniors, having game night with friends or just simply hanging out and talking. When you enjoy the company of another person and they are so much fun to hang out with no matter where you are or what you are doing they are a very special person. I wouldn't want to imagine my life without my best friend - Joe.

Heading into the weekend, there’s a bevy of events around the Carson City region over the next three days. Dozens of sweets are in store for Saturday. The American Association of University Women holds its 20th annual Feast of Chocolate at the Carson Plaza and Event Center. Artsy Fartsy Gallery hosts its 9th annual Jewelry and Chocolate Show with several new decorative pieces. To cap-off Saturday, the legendary Cab Calloway Orchestra makes its way to the capital city.

Carson's very own junior roller derby team has been invited to compete in Los Angeles, CA and it is a pretty big deal.

The Carson Junior Victory Rollers are headed to the Shamblock Shake tournament hosted by Los Anarchists roller derby team to compete on behalf of our great city. It was an honor for us to be invited and we hope we can make you all proud and come back with a win.

Happy Saturday Carson City, and say hello to February! That means Spring must be right around the corner! I hope so at least, because Friday’s beautiful weather was enough to make me ready to say goodbye to father winter.

Saturday, February 1

Heading into the Super Bowl weekend, there’s a bevy of activities around the Carson City region over the next three days. Events include the monthly downtown Carson City wine walk, plus karaoke at Bella Vita Bistro and Y-NOT Saloon. The Forest Service begins its first “Ski With a Ranger” at Lake Tahoe’s Heavenly Mountain Resort on Friday. Combined with championship football festivities on Sunday, the Silver State is in store for a wild, good time.

Saturday, January 25

Heading into the last weekend of January there’s a mountain of activities around the Carson City region over the next three days. Events include a Chinese New Year Celebration at the Nevada State Museum and the Children's Museum of Northern Nevada. The Carson Comedy Club hosts its first Military Appreciation Night on Friday at the Carson Nugget. Carson Valley’s 18th annual Eagles and AG Photo Contest will be underway and live music will keep the Silver State buzzing with excitement. Read on for more information.

Saturday night karaoke at the Y-NOT Saloon 152 E. Long St. in Carson City. Karaoke by Jeff Stevens from 8:00PM to 11:00PM come one come all come sing and have a great time.

Heading into last day of 2019, we're looking at partly sunny skies with a high around 50 and low around 30. Activities around the capital city region are lined up through the day and evening. Enjoy and celebrate as we prepare to toast a welcome to 2020. Also do consider a designated driver, cab ride, Lyft or Uber to be on the safe side for your ride home if out celebrating. As we head into the final Monday of 2019, we're looking at a slight chance of light snow in the morning as a weak weather system brushes the region. Events around the Carson City area include a driver's education class offered through Western Nevada College Continuing Education, a luncheon featuring Patricia Ackerman, a Democratic primary candidate for Nevada's 2nd Congressional District, art activities and more.
