St. Paul’s Lutheran Family on Saliman welcomes you to their annual Craftique Open House. You’ll find the Young at Heart Seniors Club hosting a faire at the Douglas County Community Center. The Carson Nugget’s Sierra Room will be home to several artisans, vendors, and crafters during today’s wine walk. There’s quite a bit more, and plenty that doesn’t involve shopping, so take a look and have a great time.

Carson City artist joins 29 others in 23rd annual Artisan Show and Sale
Submitted by Carson Now Reader on Mon, 10/30/2017 - 6:20amArt doll maker Christine Shively-Benjamin of Carson City will be among thirty artists from Northern Nevada featured at the 23th annual Reno Artisan Show and Sale Nov. 3 and 4 at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship. Admission is free and 20 pieces of original art will be given away.
“Every year we invite some of the best artists in Northern Nevada to exhibit at our show,” says chairperson Julie Sulahria. “It’s always held on the first weekend in November as an opportunity to purchase creative gifts before the holidays.

I made the decision to put all of the parade related events into a separate list for a few reasons: one, this list would be way too long otherwise; two, Halloween fun is plentiful all weekend long; and three, I want my list to be as easy to read as possible. Read on for events throughout Carson City, Carson Valley, Dayton, Silver and Virginia Cities.

Get ready for Halloween with your choice of pumpkin patches. Seeliger Elementary School is hosting theirs for the twenty-fifth year in a row. Take a trip on the V and T Steam Train at the Nevada Railroad Museum, actually take several trips. The annual Harvest Train event offers an all-day wristband that allows for as many rides as you’d like, in addition to museum admission. So many more fun activities are available to you, you’ll have to read on to see them all.
Howl-O-Ween Fall Festival to Benefit Sierra Therapeutic Equestrian Program

This list of happenings in the Carson City area isn’t getting any shorter. The annual Genoa Candy Dance is a favorite among locals and visitors alike, and this weekend welcomes the first ever Silver State Arts Festival at Fuji Park, as well. The first ever Community Garage Sale at the Community Center offers one-stop bargain hunting. Swing into the season at the monthly dance party hosted by the High Sierra Swing Dance Club.

Take a trip with Santa at the Nevada Railroad Museum. Search for treasures and do your Christmas shopping at Fuji Park today, one of the multiple craft shows in town. Enjoy a free concert at the Community Center courtesy of the Capital City Community Band. Dayton is celebrating a small town Christmas tonight; bust out your best ugly sweater and join the fun. In just a few days’ time, a feast of family, friends, gratitude, and turkey will be served up. While we’re waiting, go check out the vendors at the Carson Mall and get a jump on some of your holiday shopping. The art exhibits around town are always a nice way to spend a few hours. Monday Night Football sees the Raiders battle the Texans; grab some friends and place your bets. Learn a few tricks in the kitchen with the Healthy Communities Coalition: their free monthly cooking class is open to everyone.

St. Ann’s has hosted the craft fair in the past and this is the first time the two non-profit organizations are teaming up to create on fun event, said Jeanne Broughton, who co-chairs with Heather Motta.

On November 3, 4 and 5, the Carson Mall located at 1313 South Carson Street, Carson City will be hosting the first ever Fine Arts Faire, which will include the work of over 25 artists from primarily Northern Nevada and as far away as Kalispell, Montana.

St. Mary's Art Center in Virginia City to host Dec. 6 Art Faire on the Comstock

Not only will all galleries be filled with art, the entire building will be full of local artists and creative folk from all over the Comstock region, showing and selling their work. The faire will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The art works range in style, medium, size and price from $5 to $8,000, so there will be something for everyone’s holiday shopping budget.
