Events include the South Carson Complete Streets Project groundbreaking ceremony, the International Film Festival held Friday and Saturday at the Carson City Community Center and Girl Scouts of the Sierra Nevada celebrate National Girl Scout Cookie weekend with door-to-door cookie sales. For the past five years the Carson City Classic Cinema Club has been showing the great 'Golden Age of Hollywood' films to local moviegoers as a way to promote art education in the community. The club's founder notes its acceptance thus far has been slow going but, so far, successful.

The ghosts and zombies and costume super heroes will be out and about now through Thursday, either at organized events or Halloween night trick or treating around the Carson City area, including the Carson Mall, throughout downtown and at the Governor's Mansion.

This edition of It's Your City has all the makings of a horror movie just in time for Halloween. While learning about moulage, host Cortney Bloomer is made bloody!
