A 38-year-old Carson City man was arrested Sunday for a felony fugitive from justice warrant issued Jan. 1, 2019 out of the U.S. Marshal’s Office, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.

A 33-year-old man was arrested Sunday in the area of Highway 50 and Fairview on multiple charges including failing to register as a sex offender, a felony and misdemeanor DUI.

A 35-year-old Carson City man was arrested Sunday for suspicion of felony grand larceny of an vehicle, a sheriff’s deputy said.

A 47-year-old man was arrested Saturday for felony probation violation, while an 18-year-old man with him was arrested for possession of dangerous prescription drugs without a prescription, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.

UPDATE SUNDAY: A man was arrested Saturday night in the North Valley area of Washoe County by Nevada Highway Patrol troopers and a Carson City sheriff's sergeant following a pursuit involving a stolen vehicle that began in Carson City, said Sheriff Ken Furlong. The Carson City suspect, now in Washoe County custody, was arrested at around 8:30 p.m.

According to Furlong, CCSO scaled back its pursuit once it crossed the county line but followed the suspect vehicle through Washoe Valley. The vehicle crashed and the suspect attempted to flee but was caught by arriving CCSO and NHP officers. The suspect faces charges related to the pursuit, driving a stolen vehicle and being a felon in possession of a firearm, said Furlong.

An attempted traffic stop on a vehicle identified as stolen out of Sparks turned into a failure to yield and a pursuit by Carson City Sheriff's deputies into Washoe Valley Saturday night.

Carson City emergency crews are on scene of a two-vehicle crash that occurred near the roundabout at E. Fifth Street and Fairview Drive.

Carson City’s latest food market opened to commercial business customers Friday with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the grocery chain's newest store, located at 222 Fairview Drive in the Lowe’s shopping center next door to Office Depot.

A Carson City jury convicted a local man of attempted murder with hate crime enhancements Friday as well as battery and assault with a deadly weapon following an incident in east Carson City last year where the man shot more than a dozen rounds into a vehicle occupied by five Sikh men visiting the area, injuring one.

Two Mound House residents were arrested Thursday afternoon in the area of Sonoma Street after eluding officers, destroying property, leaving the scene of an accident with property damage, and possession of methamphetamine.

A man and woman were arrested Saturday on multiple felony drug charges as well as child endangerment after officers found narcotics during a warrant arrest by the Carson City Sheriff’s Office Special Enforcement Team at a West Nye Lane apartment.

A 33 year-old Carson City man was arrested Wednesday evening at 5:59 p.m. in the 700 block of Hillcrest Road for felony burglary, a Carson City Sheriff's deputy reported.
