Carson City man jailed for driving with suspended registration, refusing to pull over

A 36-year-old Carson City man was arrested in the area of S. Edmonds Lane and S. Lompa Lane for misdemeanor driving with suspended registration, no proof of insurance, department of alternative sentencing violation of suspended sentence and violation of bail conditions after refusing to stop when deputies attempted to pull him over.

NDOT to put up new flashing yield signs at some Carson City freeway on-ramps

CARSON CITY — The Nevada Department of Transportation is advising motorists of new flashing yield signs being tested and activated on certain Interstate 580 Carson City Freeway on-ramps beginning Wednesday, Dec. 18.

The new yield signs located at the base of both northbound and southbound I-580 on-ramps from College Parkway and U.S. 50 East, William Street feature flashing yellow beacon lights at the top.

September 11, 1937 – December 3, 2019

Jean Hamilton passed away peacefully surrounded by family, Tuesday Dec. 3rd.
Jean married Bud Hamilton on December 22, 1956 in Lindsey, California. They moved to Carson City, Nevada in 1972. Jean always wanted to be a nurse and went to nursing school as soon as all her kids were in school. She enjoyed a 37 year career as a Registered Nurse, with the majority of it spent at Carson Tahoe Hospital. Everyone who worked with her, or were under her care, said she was truly the best nurse.

Carson City Fire Department, the Nevada Highway Patrol and sheriff's deputies were called late Thursday afternoon to a vehicle crash near the intersection of Highway 50 East and Fairview Drive.

Carson City deputies make arrests for protection order violation, multiple DUIs

A 21-year-old Carson City man was arrested early Monday for misdemeanor violation of a protection order.
According to an arrest report, deputies responded late Sunday evening to a West Nye Lane apartment for a report of a man and woman arguing, yelling and screaming and a woman crying.

Carson City emergency crews called crashes on I-580 near Fairview, South Carson and on Clearview

UPDATE 7PM: According to NHP, there were two crashes that happened this evening in the area of I-580 and Fairview, northbound lane just after 5:30 p.m. Both crashes were non-injury, however, northbound I-580 was closed briefly. It was re-opened at around 7 p.m. Meanwhile, CCSO reports separate crashes that happened later, just after 6 p.m. One in the 4300 block of South Carson and the other, off of Clearview. Both crashes were non-injury but did affected traffic. The cause of all the crashes are under investigation.

Carson City sheriff's investigators seek identity of suspects in theft of electric bicycle

The Carson City Sheriff’s Office Investigation Division is asking for information into a grand larceny of an electric bicycle earlier this month.

Carson City arrests: Pair arrested for alleged drug possession during traffic stop

A 41-year-old Carson City man and a 33-year-old Sacramento man were arrested in the area of Saliman and Robinson streets Friday night for suspicion of drug related offenses.

Carson City man arrested for carrying suspected white-supremacist dangerous weapon

On Friday evening, Special Enforcement Team deputies were patrolling in the area of Carson Street and Robinson Street when they observed a green pickup truck traveling northbound on Carson Street, and saw that the driver was using his cellphone.

In addition, according to the report, the right tail lamp of the vehicle was broken and the license plate light was not functioning.
