Lyon County, Reno Police and FBI investigate recent rash of ATM thefts in Dayton, Reno
Submitted by Kelsey Penrose on Fri, 12/27/2019 - 2:00pmThe Lyon County Sheriff's Office along with the Reno Police Department are investigating a potential connection between two recent burglary incidents in which two entire ATM machines were stolen from South Reno and Dayton.
According to Lyon County Sheriff's Office Detective Lieutenant Jerry Pattinson, the two local law enforcement agencies are looking into a concrete connection between the two offenses, and yesterday the FBI was on scene in Dayton.

Lyon County Sheriff's Office says ATM stolen at Dayton credit union
Submitted by Jeff Munson on Thu, 12/26/2019 - 1:32pmSometime around 2 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 26, one or more individuals stole a trailer containing a piece of construction equipment from the lot of a construction company in Lyon County. They drove the trailer to the Greater Nevada Credit Union in Dayton where they used the construction equipment to rip an ATM machine from the ground, placing it on the trailer.

Carson City students have a ball with Vegas Golden Knights to encourage hockey in schools

The Vegas Golden Knights offered the equipment and materials during the hockey clinics.

2019 Carson City National Night Out earns top 3 rank in the nation

I started with this “The raging fires in California are a terrible reminder of the wildfire risk of living in the urban-wildland interface.” Now, 16 years later, that initial sentence bears repeating. With climate change, global warming we are seeing hotter, more intense, faster spreading wildfires than ever before. Fuels such as brush, grasses and trees are tinder dry everywhere, including Northern Nevada.
