Lyon County manager aims to get county physically, fiscally healthy

YERINGTON — Lyon County Manager Jeff Page has announced a new initiative to address the physical and fiscal health of Lyon County. Page explained Lyon County ranks 14 out of 17 in the Health Outcome Rankings and 15 out of 17 in the Health Factor Outcomes.

NDOT opens USA Parkway Extension 3 months ahead of schedule

The Nevada Department of Transportation opened the USA Parkway extension at noon Sept. 8. At noon Friday, access from both ends of the USA Parkway opened, allowing drivers to travel the 18-plus-mile roadway extension between I-80 west of Fernley and U.S. 50 near Silver Springs.
